Park rules

We do our utmost to make your stay as pleasant as possible. That is why we apply park rules so that your stay at the holiday park becomes and remains a real party for everyone. All park rules can also be found in the Eiland van Maurik app.

Camping

1.1 Arrival and departure

Campers are warmly welcome between 2:00 PM and the closing time of the reception. If you expect to arrive after closing time, please inform our reception staff in advance. The current opening hours can be found on our website or in our app. Departure is before 12:00 PM.

1.2 Payment of reservation

If the payment of your reservation has not been fully completed, you must arrive during the reception’s opening hours. Arrival outside these times will unfortunately not be possible.

1.3 Use of the pitch

Each pitch is intended for:

  • 1 camping vehicle,
  • (if permitted) 1 car,
  • 1 additional tent (maximum 2 x 2 metres),
  • a maximum of 6 persons.
1.4 Exact positioning

The Eiland van Maurik team is entitled to determine the exact location of the camping unit. It is not permitted to store boats (including inflatable boats), trailers, caravans, or a second car on the pitch. If permitted, a car must be parked on the assigned pitch.

1.5 Partitions

It is not permitted to place fences and/or other barriers on your pitch.

1.6 Careful use of the pitch

Do not dig holes in the ground due to underground pipes and cables. Please take into account future guests who also want to enjoy a neat pitch.

1.7 Planting

Pruning of plants is not allowed. If the vegetation causes any inconvenience, please notify the reception staff.

1.8 Clotheslines and wiring

Attaching clotheslines or other wiring to vegetation is not allowed.

1.9 Waste water

Wastewater must always be collected in a designated tank. If a drainage option is available, it must be used. Disposing of dirty water outside the designated drainage area is strictly prohibited.

1.10 Tent and Awning

A tent and an awning can be placed for a camping unit. However, it is not allowed to place a platform or cloth on the ground for this purpose. Under the awning, no root barriers or plastic sheets are allowed, only permeable tent tiles or growth mats. This is to keep the grass as intact as possible for any future campers.

1.11 Space within the Pitch

For all camping pitches, the camping unit and any additional tents, including guy ropes and such, must not extend beyond the rented pitch.

1.12 Age limit

At least one guest in the travel group must be 21 years or older.

1.13 Group Bookings

Group bookings of more than 4 camping pitches must always be approved by the reception. Without approval, the park reserves the right to refuse access and cancel reservations.

1.14 Charging electric vehicles

It is not allowed to charge your electric or hybrid car at the camping pitch. Charging stations are available opposite the reception or in the marina.

Rent accommodations

2.1 Arrival and departure

The arrival time for accommodations is between 4:00 PM and the closing time of the reception. If you expect to arrive after closing time, please inform the reception staff in advance. The current opening hours can be found on our website or in our app.

Upon departure, the accommodation must be left clean before 10:00 AM. For each extra hour after 10:00 AM, a charge of €50.00 will apply. If the accommodation is not left clean, an additional €250.00 charge will be applied.

2.2 Leaving the accommodation clean

When leaving the accommodation clean, we expect:

  • Beds to be stripped.
  • Trash to be disposed of.
  • The dishwasher to be emptied.
  • The accommodation to be left clean and tidy.
  • The inventory to be returned to its original place.

Additionally, we kindly ask you to lower the thermostat.

2.3 Luxury check-out

With the luxury check-out service, we will take care of the final cleaning. However, you must:

  • Empty and start the dishwasher,
  • Gather all trash into one bag,
  • Place the inventory back as you found it.
2.4 Payment of reservation

If the payment of your reservation has not been fully completed, you must arrive during the reception’s opening hours. Arrival outside these times will unfortunately not be possible.

2.5 Use of Furniture

Each accommodation has personal furnishings. It is not allowed to take (garden) furniture that belongs to the accommodation outside or to other accommodations.

2.6 Management and care

You must manage the accommodation carefully and use the furniture and inventory with care. Any defects must be reported immediately to the reception. Damage or destruction of inventory and furniture will be charged to the user.

2.7 Gourmet Cooking

Gourmet cooking is not allowed in the accommodations.

2.8 Age limit

At least one guest in the travel group must be 21 years or older.

2.9 Group bookings

Group bookings of more than 4 accommodations must always be approved by the reception. Without approval, the park reserves the right to refuse access and cancel reservations.

Sleepovers and visitors

3.1 Visitors

Visitors are welcome but must report to the reception in advance. They are required to comply with the RECRON conditions and the park rules. Visitors are allowed until 11:00 PM at the latest. Please note that the quiet hours on our premises are from 11:00 PM to 07:00 AM.

3.2 Guests

Guests must report to the reception for registration and payment of the overnight rate and tourist tax. This is only possible if the maximum number of persons per accommodation or campsite is not exceeded. The holiday park reserves the right to refuse guests and visitors.

3.3 Responsibility

As a guest, you are always responsible and liable for the behavior of your guests and visitors.

3.4 Parking

Visitors and guests must park their car in one of the parking areas and pay the applicable parking fee.

Parking

4.1 Car-free areas

The camping fields Eksche Waard and Zomerdijk, as well as the areas at the River Lodges, Tiny Beach Houses, Beach Chalets, Luxury Beach Chalets, and Island Lodges, are car-free. Cars must be parked in the designated parking areas. On the day of arrival and departure, it is possible to load and unload luggage at the accommodations once.

4.2 Permitted locations for cars

Cars are allowed at the Havenvilla, Havenhuis, and Rivierhuis. At the camping field Rozenwiel, the Beach Houses, and the Havenhouses, a maximum of one car may be parked. A second car can be parked in one of the parking areas for a fee.

4.3 Quiet Hours and Car Use

From 11:00 PM to 07:00 AM, quiet hours must be observed. The use of cars on the premises during quiet hours is not allowed. If you visit the park after 11:00 PM or wish to depart early in the morning, make sure your car is parked in one of the parking areas. If parking rules are violated, the park management reserves the right to have the vehicle removed, and the costs will be charged to the guest.

4.4 Adjustment of Parking Policy

The park management reserves the right to modify the parking policy.

(Nights)rest and nuisance

5.1 Quiet Hours

The quiet hours on our premises are from 11:00 PM to 07:00 AM. This means that there should be no loud conversations, music, or other noise. During this period, the use of motorized vehicles is also prohibited. From 01:00 AM, it is no longer allowed to wander around the park. If noise disturbances occur, the staff of Vakantiepark Eiland van Maurik are authorized to warn you or remove you from the premises.

5.2 Daytime Noise Disturbance

During the day, it is also not allowed to use music devices, musical instruments, or any other items that can cause noise disturbances in a way that bothers others. Receiving a complaint from another guest will be considered evidence of disturbance.

5.3 Public Intoxication

Public intoxication is prohibited. Possessing open bottles or cans of alcohol is considered public intoxication. Alcohol may only be consumed at the accommodation, the camping unit, and in the hospitality areas. Alcohol use is prohibited for guests under 18 years of age.

5.4 (Soft)drugs

The use or possession of (soft) drugs on, around, or in the accommodation or camping unit is prohibited.

5.5 Limitation of Noise Disturbance

The holiday park will, if possible, attempt to limit noise disturbance before 10:00 AM.

Swimming pool

6.1 Access

The swimming pool is freely accessible to park guests. Visitors may use the pool at the applicable rate, provided the maximum number of visitors has not yet been reached.

6.2 Swimwear

Swimwear is mandatory.

6.3 Swimming Clothing

Swimming is only allowed in clothing made of swim fabric. Wearing underwear under swimwear is not permitted for hygienic reasons. Swim diapers are mandatory for the very young and are available at the Spar.

6.4 Shoes

Shoes must be removed at the entrance and placed in the shoe rack. Only flip-flops are allowed.

6.5 Showering

Before entering the pool, showering is mandatory.

6.6 Food and drink

It is not allowed to bring your own food and drinks into the pool.

6.7 Inflatable Items

Inflatable items are not allowed in the pool, except for arm bands. Balls may only be used during recreational activities.

6.8 Strollers

Strollers and buggies are not allowed in the pool. They can be stored outside the pool area.

6.9 Diving

Diving from the poolside is not allowed, as the water depth is a maximum of 140 cm.

6.10 Lockers

Use the lockable lockers (for a fee) to store valuables and clothing. You can use €0.50, which will be returned when you open the locker.

6.11 Supervision

The pool is under camera surveillance. There is no permanent supervision, so please supervise your children yourself.

6.12 Swimming certificate

Children without a swimming certificate may only enter the pool when accompanied by an adult. Arm bands are mandatory for children or persons without a swimming certificate.

6.13 Towels

The towels provided by the holiday park may not be used in the swimming pool.

Pets

7.1 Dogs

Dogs are very welcome in our park, provided they are kept on a leash. There are selected accommodations where a maximum of one dog is allowed. If you bring your dog to the accommodation, it must be booked in advance. Please check with reception for availability. A maximum of two dogs are allowed per campsite, except for the pet-free area, for the applicable rate. Your dog must always be kept on a leash at the campsite as well.

7.2 Dog walking areas

Please walk your dog outside the holiday park at the designated dog walking areas. If your dog relieves itself on the park grounds, please clean it up immediately to prevent inconvenience to other guests.

7.3 Forbidden Areas

Dogs are not allowed in public areas such as Eiland Avontura, the Spar, the laundry, the sanitary buildings, the swimming pool, the day recreation beach, and in Rozenwiel 90 to 120. Dogs are allowed in the restaurant, Mauk, at the reception, and on the grounds.

7.4 Dog beach

Dogs are not allowed on our recreational beach at the Beachclub. A special dog-friendly beach where your dog can run free and swim is located 20 minutes away on foot.

7.5 Biting

If a dog bites someone for any reason, the dog must leave the park immediately.

7.6 Other animals

Cats and other (domestic) animals are not allowed in our holiday park.

Smoking

8.1 Smoking Ban Inside

Smoking is not allowed inside the accommodations and facilities at our park. When smoking on the veranda, the door must always be kept closed.

8.2 Fine for Violating Smoking Ban

A fine of €250.00 will be charged for each violation of the smoking ban.

8.3 Ashtrays

Make sure you dispose of cigarettes only in the designated ashtrays.

Garbage

9.1 Waste disposal

No waste may be left in, around, or on the accommodation and/or campsite. Waste must be sorted and disposed of at the recycling station. Placing garbage bags or loose waste is not allowed due to hygiene reasons and to prevent pests.

9.2 Location of Recycling Station

The recycling station is located next to the reception parking lot. Household waste must be disposed of in the residual waste compactor, glass in the glass bin, and paper in the paper compactor. Large waste or chemical waste must be disposed of by you.

Deposit

10.1 Deposit for facilities

If a deposit is charged for a facility, it must be returned in the same condition as when it was issued and by the agreed time. If the facility is not returned in the same condition, the holiday park may retain the deposit. If the facility is returned later than the agreed time, the deposit will be retained, and a fine of €10.00 per 15 minutes of delay will apply.

10.2 Deposit for barrier passes

A deposit of €50.00 is charged for hardened barrier passes. If the barrier pass is not returned, the deposit will be retained.

10.3 Deposit for Group Reservations

The holiday park may request a deposit for a stay at any time. For group bookings, a deposit may be requested, but there is no standard deposit rate.

Gas canisters

11.1 Use of gas cylinders

Only official, approved gas cylinders may be used. Regular checks of the equipment should be performed.

11.2 Moving and Storing Gas Cylinders

Always transport and store gas cylinders upright and outside the caravan or tent.

11.3 Number of Gas Cylinders

More than two gas cylinders at the tent or caravan are not allowed.

11.4 LPG Gas Ban

Do not use LPG gas on the campsite; this gas is not suitable and can cause life-threatening situations.

11.5 Gas Cylinder Exchange

During opening hours, you can exchange your gas cylinders at the Spar.

Wifi

12.1 Free Wireless Internet

At our park, you can use free wireless internet through the 'Eiland van Maurik' network. This network is free of charge and offers basic functionality for sending messages and emails. The reception and speed may vary depending on your location and the conditions.

12.2 Paid Premium Wifi

Additionally, there is a paid premium wifi network available at the park. Depending on your accommodation, you can connect to the 'Eiland van Maurik' network or the specific network of your accommodation (accommodation type and number). For both accommodations and camping pitches, you can pay for the premium wifi via the internet screen. For more information about the costs and instructions, you can inquire at the reception.

Fishing

13.1 Fishing License for Fishing Outside the Park

When fishing outside the park, it is always mandatory to have a fishing license (VISpas).

13.2 Carp Pond at the Dike

A fishing license (VISpas) is required at the carp pond by the dike. Additionally, it is prohibited to possess more than one pike and to fish from a boat.

13.3 Southern Section of the Nederrijn

For fishing in the southern section of the Nederrijn (sluice channel) below Amerongen, between kmr. 921.200 and kmr. 921.960 and between kmr. 922.680 and kmr. 923.730, or near the sluice complex, you will need an additional permit from the fishing association ‘Het Snoekje’. This can be obtained at the reception.

13.4 Night fishing

Night fishing is not allowed.

13.5 Fishing from the Piers

Fishing from the piers in the marina is not allowed.

Lost & Found

14.1 Submitting and Returning Found Items

Found items can be handed in at the reception or at the Mauk Info Desk. If a guest has already left, the found item can be sent to the guest at their request (cash on delivery), at their own risk and expense. We are not liable for any damage to the found item.

14.2 Loss of Property

If the owner of a found item does not come forward within one month after the item has been submitted, it will be assumed that they have abandoned ownership of the item.

Cancelling

15.1 Cancellation According to RECRON Conditions

In case of cancellation, we adhere to the RECRON-conditions.

15.2 Cancellation Insurance

We recommend taking out cancellation insurance. The premium for the cancellation insurance is 5.5% of the total travel amount, with a policy fee of €3.50 and 21% insurance tax.

FEC Mauk

16.1 General Access and Behavior

At Family Entertainment Centrum Mauk, we strive to provide a safe, enjoyable, and relaxing environment for all our guests. Everyone is welcome at Mauk to enjoy our facilities and activities. We ask all visitors to treat other guests and staff with respect. It is not permitted to cause disturbances, display aggressive behavior, or hinder others. Instructions from staff must always be followed.

16.2 Safety and Responsibility

Entering Mauk and using the facilities is at your own risk. Parents and guardians are responsible for the behavior and safety of their children. Children under 6 must be supervised by an adult at all times. Certain attractions, such as the Hit-It Arena and the climbing and crawling zone, have age and safety regulations that must be strictly followed.

16.3 Facilities

Reservations for activities can be made in advance through our website or on-site at the information desk. Bringing your own food and drink to Mauk is not allowed. Food and drinks can be ordered easily at the Foodplaza via the ordering kiosk or QR code. Mauk is a cashless location; only card payments are accepted.

16.4 Hygiene and Cleanliness

We place great importance on maintaining a clean and tidy environment. Guests are asked to dispose of their waste in the designated bins and handle the facilities with care. It is not allowed to enter the play zones with outdoor shoes.

16.5 Damage and Liability

We ask visitors to handle Mauk's facilities and property carefully. Should any damage occur, we would appreciate it if it is reported to a staff member so that we can find an appropriate solution together. Eiland van Maurik is not liable for the loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings. We recommend leaving valuables at home or storing them securely.

16.6 Violation of Park Rules

In case of violation of these park rules, access to Mauk may be denied without the right to a refund.

16.7 Alcohol Policy

Alcoholic beverages are only served to guests aged 18 and older. If in doubt, a valid ID may be requested.

16.10 Shoes off

Children may only enter the Island Avontura play area in socks or bare feet. Shoes are not allowed for hygiene and safety reasons.

16.11 Payments

Payments can only be made on site via pin. Cash payments are not accepted.

Safety requirements

17.1 Traffic and Safety Regulations

You are required to immediately follow all traffic and safety regulations, as well as the instructions from the staff.

17.2 Access for Emergency Services

Paths, access roads, and barriers must remain clear of cars and other obstacles at all times to allow emergency services access in the event of an emergency.

17.3 Speed Limits

Limit the use of motor vehicles and/or cars on the premises as much as possible. The speed should not exceed 5 km/h (walking pace). Pedestrians and (playing) children always have the right of way.

17.4 Ban on Scooters and Electric Vehicles

It is forbidden to use scooters, mopeds, electric scooters, and other electrically powered vehicles (except cars and mobility scooters) on the park. In exceptional cases, an exemption may be granted by the park manager. This exemption is only valid if it is provided in writing.

17.5 Ban on Open Flames

Open flames are strictly prohibited. This includes burning candles without supervision, discarding burning cigars, cigarettes, or matches, and having flammable or explosive substances present.

17.6 Barbecue Usage

The use of a barbecue on the park is allowed, provided it is at least 3 meters away from trees, bushes, fences, buildings, and accommodations. Additionally, there must always be a bucket with approximately 10 liters of water within reach of the barbecue for emergencies. The use of electricity, gas, charcoal, or briquettes is allowed as fuel for the barbecue. The operator reserves the right to prohibit the use of a barbecue under special circumstances, such as extreme dryness.

17.7 Disposal of Disposable Barbecues

Disposable barbecues may not be disposed of in the designated containers until they are completely extinguished and cooled, due to the fire hazard.

Removal from the site/denial of access

18.1 Guests obligations

All guests are required to strictly comply with the provisions and rules as outlined in the general terms and conditions, the RECRON conditions, the uniform hospitality conditions, and the Park Regulations. In addition, guests must follow all instructions from the vacation park staff and/or any security personnel, in whatever form or context. This also applies to rules regarding the use of the facilities.

18.2 Consequences of Violation

Violation of these terms and rules, as well as failure to follow the instructions from the staff, may result in removal from the park and denial of access, without the right to a full or partial refund of any paid or to be paid (rental) amounts. This does not affect the right of the park management to claim compensation for damages caused by the violation.

18.3 Warning and Immediate Removal

In most cases, a warning will be given first. In urgent cases, at the discretion of the park management, this may be waived, and immediate removal may take place, with denial of access to the park. The park management also reserves the right to charge an additional security deposit upon a (first) warning.

Other park rules

19.1 Mail

Incoming mail will be stored at the reception for a certain period of time. The collection of mail is the responsibility of the guest. The operator is not liable for lost or damaged mail.

19.2 Package Delivery

If you have packages delivered to our address, they will be placed in the designated package box, located at the bike rental opposite the reception. The delivery of packages is always at the guest's own responsibility. The operator is not liable for lost or damaged packages. Additionally, packages requiring a signature for delivery cannot be accepted.

19.3 Prohibited Activities on the Rozenwiel

It is forbidden to enter the water of the Rozenwiel with boats, SUP boards, or other water sports equipment. Swimming is also not allowed.

19.4 Prohibited water sports

Jet skis, water scooters, and e-foils are prohibited in our marina and on our vacation park. These may not use the docks and ramps at the marina and vacation park.

19.5 Prohibited Activities in the Park

It is prohibited to deliver door-to-door advertising, sell goods from door to door, offer services, hold private or public sales, consume alcohol outside the accommodations and/or catering areas, use or possess (soft) drugs on, around, or inside the accommodations and/or camping sites, have draft systems with pressure cylinders, or possess (fire)arms.

19.6 Responsibility and Liability

Your stay at Vakantiepark Eiland van Maurik is at your own risk. The management of the vacation park is not liable for any damage or accidents to persons, or for theft or damage to the goods of campers or visitors. Any damage caused by you, your children, guests, visitors, or dogs must be compensated by you.

19.7 Party Tents

Party tents are only allowed if you use them instead of a canopy or awning. The tent must not exceed 3 x 3 meters and must not cause any disturbance to your neighbors. Party tents are not allowed next to your camping equipment.

19.8 Loose Items

When you are absent from your camping site or accommodation, you must store and secure all loose items, such as bicycles and toys, and place them out of sight whenever possible.

19.9 Electric Heaters

The use of electric heaters is not permitted.

19.10 Charging Points for Electric Cars

It is not allowed to charge an electric car at the camping site or accommodation. There are six charging stations available at our vacation park. Please inquire at the reception for the options.

19.11 Boats and Trailers

Boats (rowing, fishing, motor, inflatable, etc.) and trailers/carts may not be stored at the camping site or accommodation. For a fixed fee, these can be placed in the water or on the shore with a trailer.

19.12 Minimum age

The minimum age for staying at our vacation park is 21 years old.

19.13 Children's Pool on Public Field

It is not allowed to place a children's pool on a public field.

19.14 Children's Pool at Camping Site

It is allowed to place a children's pool at your rented camping site, provided an adult is present to supervise the people in or around the pool and is responsible for what happens in their presence or absence.

19.15 Removal of Children's Pool

In the evening, at night, and when leaving the camping site, you must remove the pool.

19.16 Prohibited Pools

Pools (inflatable or with a hard or flexible wall) with a rim higher than 30 cm are prohibited.

19.17 Drone Usage

Flying a drone over the vacation park is prohibited unless prior written consent is given by park management.

19.18 Electric scooters and Fatbikes

Electric scooters and Fatbikes are not permitted anywhere in the park.

19.19 Supervision

Children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult when going to the facilities in the park. The children’s washroom in the sanitary building is solely for children up to and including 6 years old.

19.20 Life jackets

For swimmers without a swimming diploma, wearing a life jacket is recommended at the beach.

19.21 Animation Activities

For some animation activities, children must register in advance and/or there may be costs involved. If no reservation is made or payment has not been completed, participation in these activities will not be possible.
