Park rules
We do our utmost to make your stay as pleasant as possible. That is why we apply park rules so that your stay at the holiday park becomes and remains a real party for everyone. All park rules can also be found in the Eiland van Maurik app.
Choose a subject
Camping
- 1.1 Arrival and departure
Campers are welcome between 14:00 and the closing time of reception. Do you expect to arrive after closing time? Please inform our reception staff in good time. You can find the current opening hours on our website or in our app. Departure is before 12:00 noon.
- 1.2 Payment of reservation
If the payment of your reservation has not yet been made in full, you should arrive within the opening hours of the reception. Arrivals outside these times are unfortunately not possible.
- 1.3 Use of the pitch
Each pitch is intended for:
- 1 camping vehicle,
- (if permitted) 1 car,
- 1 additional tent (maximum 2 x 2 metres),
- a maximum of 6 persons.
- 1.4 Exact positioning
The campsite manager is entitled to determine the exact location of the camping means. It is not permitted to park boats (including dinghies), trailers or a second car on pitches. If permitted, a car must be parked on its own pitch.
- 1.5 Partitions
Placing fences and/or other partitions on your pitch is not permitted.
- 1.6 Careful use of the pitch
Keep in mind that the pitch belongs to us. So do not make any holes in the ground in connection with underground pipes and cables. Be considerate of future guests who also want to enjoy a tidy pitch.
- 1.7 Planting
Pruning of vegetation is not permitted. If the vegetation causes a nuisance, please inform the reception staff.
- 1.8 Clotheslines and wiring
Attaching clotheslines or other wiring to vegetation is not allowed.
- 1.9 Waste water
Waste water should always be collected in a designated tank. If a disposal facility is available, it must be used. Discharging dirty water outside the designated disposal point is strictly prohibited.
- 1.10 Awning and canopy
Both an awning and an awning may be placed in front of a camping means. However, it is not permitted to put up a tarpaulin on the ground in front of it. No root cloths or plastic cloths are allowed under the awning, only permeable tent tiles or growing cloths. This is to keep the turf (for any subsequent camper) as intact as possible.
- 1.11 Space within the pitch
For all camping pitches, the camping equipment and any accessories including guy ropes and the like may not extend beyond the rented pitch.
- 1.12 Age limit
Within the travel party, at least one guest must be 21 years of age or older.
- 1.13 Group bookings
Group bookings of more than 4 pitches must always be approved by the park management. Without approval, the park reserves the right to refuse access and cancel reservations.
- 1.14 Charging electric vehicles
You are not allowed to charge your electric or hybrid car at the pitch. Charging stations are available for this purpose opposite reception.
Rent accommodations
- 2.1 Arrival and departure
The arrival time for accommodation is between 16:00 and the closing time of reception. Do you expect to arrive after closing time? Please inform the reception staff of this in good time. You can find the current opening times on our website or in our app.
On departure, the accommodation must be left clean by 10:00. For each additional hour after 10:00 am, €50.00 will be charged. If the accommodation is not left clean, we will charge an additional €250.00.
- 2.2 Leaving the accommodation clean
When leaving the accommodation clean, we expect that:
- Beds are removed.
- Rubbish is thrown away.
- The dishwasher is emptied.
- The accommodation is left broom clean.
- The inventory is returned as you found it.
In addition, please turn down the thermostat.
- 2.3 Luxury check-out
When using the luxury check-out, we take care of the final cleaning. However, you will need to:
- Clear and turn on the dishwasher,
- Collect all waste in one bag,
- Return the inventory as you found it.
- 2.4 Payment of reservation
If the payment of your reservation has not yet been made in full, you should arrive within the opening hours of the reception. Arrival outside these times is then unfortunately not possible.
- 2.5 Use of furnishings
Each accommodation has its own personal furnishings. It is not allowed to take (garden) furniture belonging to the accommodation outside or to other accommodations.
- 2.6 Management and care
You should manage the accommodation neatly and use furniture and inventory with care. Any defects should be reported to reception immediately. Any damage or destruction to inventory and furniture will be charged to the user.
- 2.7 Gourmets
Gourmets are not allowed in the accommodation facilities.
- 2.8 Age limit
Within the travel party, at least one guest must be 21 years of age or older.
- 2.9 Group bookings
Group bookings of more than 4 accommodations must always be approved by park management. Without approval, the park reserves the right to refuse entry and cancel reservations.
Sleepovers and visitors
- 3.1 Visitors
Visitors are welcome, but must report to reception in advance. They are obliged to comply with the RECRON conditions and park rules. Visitors are allowed until 23:00 hours at the latest. Please note that night rest on our grounds applies from 23:00 to 07:00.
- 3.2 Guests
Guests must report to reception in advance for registration and payment of the overnight fee and tourist tax. This is only possible if the maximum number of persons per accommodation or pitch is not exceeded. The holiday park reserves the right to refuse lodgers and visitors.
- 3.3 Responsibility
As a guest, you are at all times responsible and liable for the behaviour of your guests and visitors.
- 3.4 Parking
Visitors and guests must park their cars outside the campsite in the designated parking spaces. The applicable parking fee applies.
Parking
- 4.1 Car-free areas
The camping fields de Eksche Waard and Zomerdijk, as well as the areas near the River Lodges, Tiny Beach Houses, Beach Chalets, Beach Chalets de Luxe and Island Lodges, are car-free. Cars should be parked in the designated parking areas.
- 4.2 Permitted locations for cars
Cars are permitted at the Haven Villa, Haven House and the River House. A maximum of one car may be parked at camping field the Rozenwiel, the Strandhuisjes and the Havenhuisjes. A second car may be parked in the general car park, subject to a charge.
- 4.3 Night rest and car use
Night rest on our grounds from 11pm to 7am must be observed. Car use on the site during the night's rest is not permitted. If you visit the campsite after 11pm or wish to leave early in the morning, please make sure your car is parked in the car park of the Pancake House. If the parking rules are violated, the park management reserves the right to remove the vehicle (or have it removed). The costs thereof will be borne by the guest concerned.
- 4.4 Adjustment of parking policy
The park management reserves the right to amend the parking policy.
(Nights)rest and nuisance
- 5.1 Night rest
Night rest on our premises applies from 23:00 to 07:00. This means no loud conversations, music or other noise is allowed. During this period, motorised vehicles are also not allowed. No wandering around the park is allowed from 01:00. If nuisance is nevertheless caused, the staff of Vakantiepark Eiland van Maurik have the mandate to order you to be quiet or to remove you from our grounds.
- 5.2 Noise nuisance during the day
Also during the day, it is not allowed to use music carriers, musical instruments or other objects that can cause noise nuisance in a way that causes nuisance to others. Receiving a complaint from a fellow guest is considered evidence of nuisance.
- 5.3 Public drunkenness
Public drunkenness is prohibited. Being in possession of opened bottles or cans of alcohol is considered public intoxication. Alcohol may only be consumed at the accommodation, camping equipment and catering facilities. Alcohol consumption is prohibited for guests under the age of 18.
- 5.4 (Soft)drugs
The use or possession of (soft) drugs on, around or in the accommodation or camping means is prohibited.
- 5.5 Limitation of noise pollution
The holiday park will, if possible, try to limit noise nuisance before 10:00 am.
Swimming pool
- 6.1 Access
The swimming pool is freely accessible to park guests. Visitors can use the pool at the applicable rate, provided the maximum number of visitors has not yet been reached.
- 6.2 Swimwear
Swimwear is compulsory.
- 6.3 Swimclothing
Swimming is only allowed in clothing made of swimwear. Wearing pants under swimwear is not permitted for hygienic reasons. Swimming nappies are compulsory for toddlers, which are available at the Spar.
- 6.4 Shoes
Shoes should be taken off at the entrance and placed in the shoe rack. Only bathing slippers are allowed.
- 6.5 Showering
Before entering the pool, a visit to the shower is mandatory.
- 6.6 Food and drink
You are not allowed to bring your own food and drinks into the pool.
- 6.7 Bags
It is not allowed to bring bags into the pool.
- 6.8 Inflatable articles
Inflatable articles are not allowed in the pool, with the exception of swimming rings. Balls may only be used during recreational activities.
- 6.9 Prams
Prams and buggies are not allowed in the pool. These can be parked outside the pool.
- 6.10 Diving
It is not allowed to dive into the pool from the shore, as the water depth is a maximum of 140 cm.
- 6.11 Wardrobes
Use the lockable lockers (for a fee) to store valuables and clothing. You can use €0.50 for this purpose, which will be returned to you after opening the locker.
- 6.12 Surveillance
There is camera surveillance in the swimming pool. There is no permanent supervision, so please supervise your children yourself.
- 6.13 Swimming certificate
Children without a swimming certificate may only enter the pool under supervision. Swimming straps are compulsory for children or persons without swimming certificates.
- 6.14 Towels
Towels provided by the holiday park may not be used in the swimming pool.
Pets
- 7.1 Dogs
Dogs are welcome at our park, provided they are on a leash. We have several selected accommodations where a maximum of 1 dog is allowed. If you bring your dog to the accommodation, it must be booked in advance. Ask at reception for availability. A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed per camping pitch, with the exception of the pet-free pitch, at the applicable rate. Dogs must also be kept on a lead at all times on the pitch.
- 7.2 Dog walking areas
Please let your dog out on the special dog walking areas outside the campsite. Should your dog relieve itself in the park, please clean up immediately to avoid inconvenience to other guests.
- 7.3 Prohibited areas
Dogs are not allowed in the general areas such as Eiland Avontura, the shop, the laundrette, the sanitary buildings, the swimming pool, the daytime recreation beach and on Rozenwiel 90 to 120. However, dogs are allowed in the catering facilities, in Mauk and in the reception and on the grounds themselves.
- 7.4 Dog beach
Dogs are not allowed on our recreational beach at the Beachclub. A 20-minute walk away you will find a special dog beach where your dog is allowed to run loose and swim.
- 7.5 Biting
If a dog bites someone for any reason, the dog must leave the park immediately.
- 7.6 Other animals
Cats and other pets are not allowed on our holiday park.
Smoking
- 8.1 No smoking indoors
Smoking is not allowed inside the accommodation and facilities on our park. When smoking on the veranda, the door must always be closed.
- 8.2 Penalty for violation
A fine of € 250.00 will be charged per violation of the smoking ban.
- 8.3 Ashtrays
Please ensure that you dispose of cigarettes only in the ashtrays provided.
Garbage
- 9.1 Waste disposal
No waste may be left in, around or on the accommodation and/or camping pitch. Waste must be sorted and deposited in the waste disposal area. Placing rubbish bags or loose waste is not allowed because of hygiene and the prevention of vermin.
- 9.2 Location of the waste disposal site
The waste disposal area is located next to the car park of the Pancake House, opposite the reception. Rubbish should only be deposited in the residual waste container, glass in the bottle bank and paper in the paper container. You must dispose of bulky or chemical waste yourself.
Deposit
- 10.1 Deposit for facilities
If a deposit is charged for a facility, it must be returned in the same condition as when issued and at the agreed time. If the facility is not returned in the same condition, the holiday park may retain the deposit. If the facility is returned later than the agreed time, the deposit will be withheld and a fine of €10.00 per 15 minutes of delay will apply.
- 10.2 Deposit for barrier passes
A €50.00 deposit is charged for paved barrier passes. If the paved barrier pass is not returned, the deposit will be retained.
- 10.3 Deposit for group bookings
The holiday park may require a deposit for a stay at any time. For group bookings there is a chance that a deposit will be required, but there is no standard deposit rate.
Gas canisters
- 11.1 Use of gas cylinders
Only official, approved gas cylinders should be used. Have the equipment checked regularly.
- 11.2 Moving and storing gas bottles
Always transport and store gas cylinders upright and outside the caravan or tent.
- 11.3 Number of gas bottles
More than 2 gas cylinders at the tent or caravan is not permitted.
- 11.4 Prohibition of LPG gas
Do not use LPG gas on the campsite; this gas is absolutely not suitable and can cause life-threatening situations.
- 11.5 Changing gas cylinders
During opening hours, you can exchange your gas bottles at the Spar.
Wifi
- 12.1 Free wireless internet
On our park, you can use free wireless internet via the ‘Eiland van Maurik’ network. This network is free of charge and provides basic functionality for sending messages and e-mails. Reception and speed may vary depending on your location and conditions.
- 12.2 Paid premium wifi
A paid premium wifi network is also available on the park. Depending on your location, you can connect to the ‘Eiland van Maurik’ network or to the specific network of your accommodation (accommodation type and number). For both accommodations and camping pitches, you can pay the costs online via the internet screen at the premium wifi. For more information on costs and explanations, please contact reception.
Fishing
- 13.1 Fishing pass for fishing outside the park
When fishing outside the park, it is always compulsory to have a VISpas.
- 13.2 Carp pond on the dike
At the carp pit on the dike, a VISpas is required. It is also prohibited to have more than one pike in your possession and to fish from a boat.
- 13.3 Southern part of the Lower Rhine
In the southern part of the Nederrijn (weir channel) below Amerongen, between kmr. 921.200 and kmr. 921.960 and between kmr. 922.680 and kmr. 923.730, or at the weir complex, you need an additional permit from angling sports club ‘Het Snoekje’. This is available at reception.
- 13.4 Night fishing
Night fishing is not permitted.
- 13.5 Fishing from the jetties
Fishing from the jetties in the marina is not allowed.
Lost & Found
- 14.1 Handing in and returning found objects
Found objects can be handed in at the reception or at the Mauk Info Desk. If a guest has already left, the found object can be sent to the guest upon request (cash on delivery) at the guest's own expense and risk. The entrepreneur is not liable for any damage to the found object.
- 14.2 Loss of ownership
If the owner of a found object does not report within one month after the object was handed over, he or she shall be deemed to have relinquished possession of the object.
Cancelling
- 15.1 Cancellation in accordance with RECRON conditions
In case of cancellation, we apply the RECRON-conditions.
- 15.2 Cancellation insurance
We recommend cancellation insurance. The premium for cancellation insurance is 5.5% of the travel sum, with policy costs of € 3.50 and 21% insurance tax.
FEC Mauk
- 16.1 Respect and safety
Treat fellow visitors and staff with respect. Inappropriate behaviour such as swearing, intimidation or aggression will not be tolerated and may lead to expulsion.
- 16.2 Own risk
Entering and participating in activities is at your own risk. We are not liable for damage, loss or injury caused by careless behaviour.
- 16.3 Food and drink
Bringing your own refreshments is not allowed. Make use of our offer in the Mauk Plaza, Mauk Café, the Sportsbar or at Ijsland van Maurik.
- 16.4 Use of equipment
Handle equipment and game materials with care. Damage or misuse may result in removal and possible charges.
- 16.5 Begeleiding bij activiteiten
Kinderen onder de 6 jaar mogen alleen deelnemen onder toezicht van een volwassene.
- 16.6 Safety and rules of the game
Stick to the rules of the game and avoid unsafe behaviour such as throwing materials or disturbing others.
- 16.7 Alcohol policy
Alcohol is only served to visitors aged 18 and above. Identification may be requested.
- 16.8 Emergencies
In an emergency, follow the instructions of staff and use the escape routes.
- 16.9 Maximum capacity
Observe the maximum number of people allowed in Island Avontura and the swimming pool.
- 16.10 Shoes off
Children may only enter the Island Avontura play area in socks or bare feet. Shoes are not allowed for hygiene and safety reasons.
- 16.11 Payments
Payments can only be made on site via pin. Cash payments are not accepted.
Safety requirements
- 17.1 Traffic and safety regulations
You are obliged to immediately follow all traffic and safety regulations, as well as the instructions of staff.
- 17.2 Access for emergency services
Paths, access roads and barriers must be kept clear of cars and other obstacles at all times to allow the exit and arrival of emergency services in case of emergencies.
- 17.3 Speed restrictions
Limit the use of motor vehicles and/or cars on the site as much as possible. Speed should not exceed 5 km/h (walking pace). Pedestrians and (playing) children always have the right of way.
- 17.4 Prohibition of scooters and electric vehicles
It is forbidden to use scooters, mopeds, electric scooters and other electrically propelled vehicles (with the exception of cars and mobility scooters) in the park. In special cases, an exemption may be granted by the park manager. This exemption is valid only if issued in writing.
- 17.5 Prohibition of open fire
Open flames are strictly prohibited. This includes burning candles without supervision, throwing away burning cigars, cigarettes or matches, and the presence of flammable or explosive substances.
- 17.6 Barbecue use
The use of a barbecue on the park is permitted, provided it is at least 3 metres away from trees, bushes, fences, buildings and accommodation. In addition, a bucket with approximately 10 litres of water should always be within easy reach of the barbecue for emergencies. Only electricity, gas, charcoal or briquettes may be used as fuel for the barbecue. The entrepreneur reserves the right to prohibit the use of barbecue in special circumstances, such as extreme drought.
- 17.7 Waste from disposable barbecues
Disposable barbecues may not be disposed of in the designated containers until they have been fully extinguished and cooled down, in connection with the risk of fire.
Removal from the site/denial of access
- 18.1 Guests' obligations
All guests are obliged to strictly observe the regulations and rules as included in the general terms and conditions, the RECRON terms and conditions and the Park Regulations. In addition, guests must follow all instructions of the entrepreneur's staff and/or any security service present in whatever form or connection. This also applies to the rules regarding the use of the facilities.
- 18.2 Gevolgen van overtreding
Engels
Overtreding van deze voorwaarden en regels, evenals het niet opvolgen van aanwijzingen van het personeel, kan leiden tot verwijdering van het park en ontzegging van de toegang, zonder recht op gehele of gedeeltelijke restitutie van de betaalde of nog te betalen (huur)bedragen. Dit is onverminderd het recht van het parkmanagement om schadevergoeding te vorderen voor schade die door de overtreding wordt veroorzaakt.
- 18.3 Waarschuwing en onmiddellijke verwijdering
In de meeste gevallen wordt eerst een waarschuwing gegeven. In dringende gevallen, ter beoordeling van het parkmanagement, kan hiervan worden afgeweken en kan onmiddellijke verwijdering plaatsvinden, waarbij de toegang tot het park wordt ontzegd. Het parkmanagement behoudt zich tevens het recht voor om, bij een (eerste) waarschuwing, een extra waarborgsom in rekening te brengen.
Other park rules
- 19.1 Post
De binnenkomende post wordt bij de receptie voor een bepaalde tijd voor u bewaard. Het afhalen van poststukken valt onder de eigen verantwoordelijkheid van de gast. De ondernemer is niet aansprakelijk voor verloren of beschadigde poststukken.
- 19.2 Bezorging van pakketten
Indien u pakketten laat bezorgen op ons adres, worden deze in de daarvoor bestemde pakketten box gedeponeerd, die zich bij de fietsverhuur tegenover de receptie bevindt. Het laten bezorgen van pakketten is altijd op eigen verantwoordelijkheid van de gast. De ondernemer is niet aansprakelijk voor verloren of beschadigde poststukken. Tevens kunnen er geen pakketten worden afgeleverd waarvoor getekend dient te worden.
- 19.3 Verboden activiteiten op de Rozenwiel
Het is verboden om met boten, supboards of andere watersportfaciliteiten het water van de Rozenwiel te betreden. Ook zwemmen is hier niet toegestaan.
- 19.4 Verboden watersporten
Waterscooters, jetski’s en e-foils zijn verboden in onze jachthaven en op ons vakantiepark. Deze mogen geen gebruik maken van de steigers en hellingbanen bij de jachthaven en het vakantiepark.
- 19.5 Verboden activiteiten op het park
Het is verboden om huis-aan-huis reclame te bezorgen, zaken van deur tot deur te verkopen, diensten aan te bieden, een onderhandse of openbare verkoop te houden, alcohol buiten de accommodatie en/of horecagelegenheden te gebruiken, (soft)drugs te gebruiken of in bezit te hebben op, om en in de accommodatie en/of kampeerplaats, tapinstallaties met drukcilinders voorhanden te hebben of (vuur)wapens in bezit te hebben.
- 19.6 Verantwoordelijkheid en aansprakelijkheid
Uw verblijf op Vakantiepark Eiland van Maurik is voor eigen risico. De leiding van het vakantiepark is niet aansprakelijk voor schade of ongevallen van personen, of schade aan of diefstal van goederen van kampeerders of bezoekers. Schade die door u, uw kinderen, logés, bezoekers of honden wordt veroorzaakt, dient u te vergoeden.
- 19.7 Partytenten
Partytenten zijn alleen toegestaan indien u de partytent gebruikt in plaats van een luifel of voortent. De tent mag maximaal 3 bij 3 meter groot zijn en mag geen hinder veroorzaken voor uw buren. Partytenten zijn dus niet toegestaan naast uw kampeermiddel.
- 19.8 Losse spullen
Bij afwezigheid op de kampeerplaats of in de accommodatie dienen alle losse zaken, zoals fietsen en speelgoed, opgeruimd en zoveel mogelijk opgeborgen te worden en uit het zicht geplaatst.
- 19.9 Elektrische verwarming
Het gebruik van elektrische verwarming is niet toegestaan.
- 19.10 Oplaadpunten voor elektrische auto’s
Het is niet toegestaan om een elektrische auto bij de kampeerplaats of accommodatie op te laden. Er zijn zes laadpalen aanwezig op ons vakantiepark. Informeer bij de receptie naar de mogelijkheden.
- 19.11 Boten en trailers
Boten (roei-, vis-, motor- en rubberboten e.d.) en trailers/aanhangers mogen niet bij de kampeerplaats of accommodatie worden gestald. Tegen een vast tarief kunnen deze worden geplaatst in het water of met trailer op de wal.
- 19.12 Minimale leeftijd
De minimale leeftijd om te overnachten op ons vakantiepark is 21 jaar.
- 19.13 Kinderzwembad op openbaar veld
Het plaatsen van een kinderzwembadje op een openbaar veld is niet toegestaan.
- 19.14 Kinderzwembad op kampeerplaats
Het plaatsen van een kinderzwembadje op de kampeerplaats die door u is gehuurd is toegestaan, mits een volwassene aanwezig is die toezicht houdt op de personen die zich in of rondom het badje bevinden en verantwoordelijk is voor wat er gebeurt in zijn/haar bijzijn of afwezigheid.
- 19.15 Verwijderen van kinderzwembad
’s Avonds, ’s nachts en bij het verlaten van de kampeerplaats dient u het zwembadje te verwijderen.
- 19.16 Verboden zwembaden
Zwembaden (opblaasbaar of met een harde of flexibele wand) waarvan de rand hoger is dan 30 cm zijn verboden.
- 19.17 Dronegebruik
Vliegen met een drone over het vakantiepark is verboden, tenzij er vooraf schriftelijke toestemming is verleend door het parkmanagement.
- 19.18 Elektrische steps en fatbikes
Elektrische steps en fatbikes zijn op het gehele park niet toegestaan.
- 19.19 Begeleiding
Kinderen onder de 6 jaar dienen onder begeleiding van een ouder naar de faciliteiten op het park te gaan. De kinderwasgelegenheid in het sanitairgebouw is uitsluitend bestemd voor kinderen t/m 6 jaar.
- 19.20 Zwemvest
Voor zwemmers zonder zwemdiploma is het dragen van een zwemvest bij het strand gewenst.
- 19.21 Animatieactiviteiten
Voor sommige animatieactiviteiten dienen kinderen zich vooraf op te geven en/of zijn kosten verbonden. Indien er geen reservering is of de betaling niet is voldaan, kan er niet deelgenomen worden aan deze activiteiten
